Boysenberry Golf keeps the record of your golf: your groups, your trips, your rounds and your cards. This page explains exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and how to get rid of it.

What we collect

Three kinds of data, and nothing else

All of it is linked to your account so your groups and cards work across devices. There is no fourth category — no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising.

Your email address

Used to sign you in. Group invitations use a code you share, not email. We never send marketing email.

Identifiers

An account ID

A random ID that ties your scores to you. It is not your name, and it is not shared with advertisers.

User content

Your golf

Groups, trips, rounds, cards, hole scores, your handicap, and the display name or nickname you choose. Every score also records who entered it. This is the app.

There is no location tracking, no contacts access, no photo library access, and no health data. The app has no advertising identifier. The app has no analytics and no crash reporting.
How we use it

App functionality only

Everything below exists to make the app work. None of it is used for tracking, and none of it is used to build a profile of you.

Keeping the shared card in sync
Scores save automatically while you play, so anyone in the round sees the same card.
Working out who won
Handicaps and hole scores are used to compute the leaderboard and final standings.
Showing you to your group
Your display name and initials appear to the other players in your groups and rounds.
Keeping your history
Past trips and rounds stay available under History as a record of what your group played.

Google Firebase

Handles sign-in and stores your groups, trips, rounds and cards on our behalf, encrypted in transit and at rest. Google cannot use it for their own purposes.

Apple

Distributes the app through TestFlight and the App Store, and handles Sign in with Apple.

Inside the app, your scores are visible to the players in that Group and that Round. Nothing is public, and there is no web profile.
Your rights and deletion

You can take it all back

Ask us for any of these and we will act within 30 days. Deleting your account is built into the app.

See what we hold
A copy of your account, your groups and every card you appear on.
Correct it
Change your display name or handicap in the app, or ask us to fix a record.
Take it elsewhere
Ask us for a copy of your data and we will send it to you.
Delete your account
Under More, then Account & Security. Your account is deactivated straight away and deleted after 30 days; sign in before then to keep it. Rounds you played stay on other players' cards as a historical score.
Deleting your account can't be undone after 30 days. If you own a group with other players in it, the app asks you to hand it to someone first, so their history stays with them.

Write to privacy@boysenberrygolf.com and a person replies. Include the email address you signed in with so we can find your account.

Changes to this policy

We tell you before it changes

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and move the effective date at the top. Where a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
